Sell a Song

This guide provides step by step instructions for uploading and selling a song as digital property on SHARE Protocol.

1. Navigate to SHARE → Create.

Start by tapping the Create button at the top right of your dashboard.

1. Press Sell Digital Products and Share Earnings.

SHARE -> Create -> Sell Digital Products and Share Earnings.

1. Scroll down to Create a Digital Property with Revenue Sharing.

SHARE -> Create -> Sell Digital Products and Share Earnings -> Create a Digital Property.

1. Press Select Asset Type → Audio and enter video details such as title, description, and price. You can also specify a custom access time if you'd like listeners to have limited access to the content.

Enter your song details such as title, description and price.

1. Press Primary File → Upload New File to upload the track. Then, press Preview File → Upload New File to upload a custom preview of the song. You can use the same file if you'd like to preview the entire song, or bounce a custom preview and upload that here.

Remember to upload both the main file as well as a preview file.

1. Scroll down and press Revenue Sharing Details → Add an Owner to add any co-owners that should receive revenue for the song.

Use Owners to setup collaborators, and use Community Splits if you'd like offer splits to fans.

1. Review revenues splits and ensure they are correct. Once the audio file is uploaded and all details have been reviewed, press Create to process and create the smart contract.

Press Create to begin the smart contract upload process.

1. Press View Digital Property Link to view your song purchase link.

Your digital property link is the link that can be used to purchase access to your song.

1. All done! When you share your link in text messages, it will appear with your custom preview, price and artwork as show below:
